蝦紅素(藻紅素) vs 對血脂的影響

2010年人體研究試驗,收錄61名年齡25-60歲的受試者,空腹三酸甘油脂平均落於120-200mg/dl,沒有過度肥胖,無糖尿病/高血壓者。受試者每天服用隨機分配,每天服用0,6,12,18毫克的蝦紅素(藻紅素),持續服用3個星期。研究結果顯示連續服用蝦紅素(藻紅素)對於BMI、LDL(低密度脂蛋白)沒有幫助,但在每日服用12毫克與18毫克蝦紅素(藻紅素)的受試者,其TG(三酸甘油脂)明顯下降,而每日服用6毫克與12毫克,血液中的HLD(好的膽固醇)明顯增加。[註6]而對於BMI>25的族群,韓國人體研究顯示,每天服用20毫克的蝦紅素(藻紅素),連續服用12週後,對於LDL有明顯下降的趨勢。[註7]
